Safe and fair

NeverQuestAlone helps you play and never plays for you. Here’s how to check that yourself. Its code is open source.

It never plays for you

The app sends no key presses or clicks and never reads the game’s memory. The addon follows Blizzard’s add-on policy: it never moves, targets, fights or posts to chat for you. Its quality-of-life options, like Auto Accept Quests, only finish what your own click opened. Blizzard has the final say.

What it can see

The app reads only the top of the game window, where the addon draws. It keeps no pictures; on Windows, a window over that spot is read too. Turn off Screen reading on the app’s Your data page, or Screen Reading in the addon’s Settings, and it reads nothing on screen: messages wait for a reload.

Where your data goes

Only to the AI you pick, with your own key, which stays in your macOS Keychain or Windows Credential Manager. There’s no NeverQuestAlone account, server or app tracking. Your name, realm and guild stay out unless you turn them on. In the app, Connections lists every address it talks to, and Last request shows exactly what was sent.

Check your download

The Mac app is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, and macOS checks both when you open it. On Windows, open the installer’s Properties, then Digital Signatures, then Details: it should say the signature is OK.

Each file’s SHA-256 should match the release’s SHA256SUMS.txt:
